TOWNSHIP OF LANGLEY – May 21, 2026
Soccer fans across the Fraser Valley will have a place to gather, celebrate and cheer on Canada during the World Cup as the Stadium at Langley Events Centre will host free community viewing opportunities.
Hosted by the Township of Langley in partnership with Langley Events Centre, Langley United Soccer Association and Vancouver Football Club, the viewing opportunities will turn the Stadium at Langley Events Centre into a community celebration featuring live match broadcasts on a brand-new video board, family-friendly entertainment, soccer activities for kids, and a variety of food and beverage options. There will also be a licensed area where alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
Fans will experience every moment in stunning detail thanks to the brand-new video board inside the Stadium at Langley Events Centre, delivering crystal-clear picture quality and enhanced sound that will create an immersive game-day atmosphere.
The viewing opportunities will provide fans with an exciting outdoor atmosphere to experience the world’s biggest sporting event together while celebrating the global game in the Township of Langley. Two of the games will have viewing opportunities inside the Banquet Hall.
“Hosting World Cup viewing opportunities is an incredible way to bring our community together around a shared global movement,” said Township of Langley Mayor Eric Woodward. “These events will create a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere where fans can celebrate the game and watch the best players compete on the world’s biggest stage.”
Should Canada advance to the Round of 32 and Round of 16 phases of the World Cup, those games will also be added with dates and times to be announced at the conclusion of the round robin portion of the schedule.
All viewing opportunities will be held at the Stadium at Langley Events Centre, except for the two games on June 14, which will be viewed inside the Banquet Hall at Langley Events Centre. The Arena Bowl inside Langley Events Centre will serve as a backup viewing location in the event of inclement weather for all matches.
The celebration of soccer in the Township of Langley also extends beyond the viewing parties, with the recently unveiled FIFA mini-pitch at Willoughby Community Park — the first FIFA Arena mini-pitch in Canada — providing a lasting community legacy for local youth and families ahead of the World Cup. The mini pitch opened in April in partnership with Canada Soccer and BC Soccer.
Additional programming details, entertainment information and event activities will be announced later.
Games in italics will be viewed in the Banquet Hall inside Langley Events Centre.
