It’s a busy May at Langley Events Centre, as the Vancouver Bandits tip off their season, the Langley Thunder return to action, and Vancouver FC and Langley United keep things rolling on the pitch.

Vancouver Bandits


The Vancouver Bandits have their sights set on a championship, and the road to glory begins this month with a pair of home games on Envision Financial Court at Langley Events Centre to open their 2026 Canadian Elite Basketball League season.


The Bandits welcome back reigning CEBL Canadian Player of the Year Tyrese Samuel. He is joined by a trio of players with NBA and G-League experience: Mychal Mulder, Miller Kopp, Tevian Jones and John Knight III.


Vancouver tips off the regular season on May 14, with their home opener set for May 22.

Vancouver FC


Vancouver FC hosts a pair of Canadian Premier League matches at the Stadium at Langley Events Centre, along with a first-round matchup in the TELUS Canadian Championship.


The Eagles face Langley United in an all-Township of Langley showdown on May 10 at 3:00pm in Voyageurs Cup action. Following that match, VFC shifts its focus back to CPL regular season play.


Through the opening month, Vancouver FC is tied for the league lead with 45 total scoring attempts and ranks second in shots on goal with 21.

• May 23 vs. FC Supra du Québec | 3:00pm

Langley United Soccer Club


The Langley United Soccer Club men’s and women’s teams are both off to strong starts in the BC Premier League.


The men’s side has won all four of its matches, scoring a league-best 16 goals while conceding none and the women’s team has also started well, sitting third after earning seven of a possible nine points.

• May 10 vs. Altitude FC | 5:00pm (women) / 7:30pm (men)

• May 23 vs. Unity FC | 5:00pm (women) / 7:30pm (men)

Langley Thunder Lacrosse


The fastest game on two feet returns to Langley Events Centre as the Langley Thunder Senior A squad opens their Western Lacrosse Association season.


• May 19 vs. Victoria Shamrocks | 7:00pm

• May 20 vs. Nanaimo Timbermen | 7:00pm



Langley’s junior teams are also in action this month. The Tier 1 Thunder host four BC Junior Tier 1 Lacrosse League home games, while the Junior A squad begins its BC Junior A Lacrosse League campaign with four straight road games before closing the month with back-to-back home contests.
