A trio of NHL greats are the featured guests at the Western Canada Sports Collectors Convention.
Running April 10 to 12 at Langley Events Centre, the three-day convention features NHL legends Ray Bourque, Doug Gilmour and Wendel Clark as its autograph guests. Fans will have the chance to meet these icons during scheduled autograph sessions on Saturday, April 11, offering an opportunity to connect with some of the greatest players in hockey history.
Gilmour will be signing from 12:15pm to 1:15pm, followed by Bourque from 1:15pm to 2:15pm and then Clark is slated to sign 2:15pm to 3:15pm.
The triannual show brings together sports fans, memorabilia enthusiasts, and collectors for one of Western Canada’s premier events of its kind.
Organized by Bossa Productions with autograph sessions courtesy of Premium Autographs, the three-day convention will feature hundreds of vendor tables showcasing an incredible range of collectibles — from trading cards and autographed memorabilia to vintage treasures and rare sports items.
“The combination of hockey legends and the incredible variety of collectibles makes this year’s convention one of our most exciting yet,” said event promoter Dale Novakowski. “Whether you’re hunting for a rare card, adding to your collection, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, this event has something for everyone.”
Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just starting out, the Western Canada Sports Collectors Convention offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to discover rare items, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and celebrate the game’s past, present, and future.
In addition to the autograph sessions, the event will feature participation from industry leaders including Upper Deck, Zephyr Epic, Heritage Auctions, PSA, Beckett, TGA, Ultra Pro, Panther Group, UDA, and more.
Guest Bios
Ray Bourque
One of the greatest defencemen in NHL history, Ray Bourque enjoyed a 22-season career, primarily with the Boston Bruins. A five-time Norris Trophy winner, Bourque recorded over 1,500 career points — the most ever by a defenceman at the time of his retirement. He famously captured his first Stanley Cup in 2001 with the Colorado Avalanche before retiring and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004.
Doug Gilmour
Doug Gilmour was one of the NHL’s most dynamic and competitive centres, known for his playmaking ability and leadership. Over a 20-season career, he recorded more than 1,400 points and is best remembered for his standout years with the Toronto Maple Leafs, including a 127-point season in 1992–93. A Stanley Cup champion with the Calgary Flames in 1989, Gilmour was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011.
Wendel Clark
Wendel Clark remains one of the most beloved players in Toronto Maple Leafs history, known for his toughness, goal-scoring ability, and leadership. Selected first overall in the 1985 NHL Draft, Clark spent most of his career in Toronto, serving as team captain and becoming a fan favourite for his physical style of play. He finished his career with over 300 goals and continues to be an iconic figure in Canadian hockey.
