August at Langley Events Centre is packed with action, from the Vancouver Bandits’ playoff push and Vancouver FC’s historic Canadian Championship run to the Western Canada Sports Collectors Convention (Aug. 8–10), Thursday night concerts and farmers markets, and the lively Langley Night Market.

Vancouver Bandits – Poised for playoff push

The record-breaking regular season for the Vancouver Bandits is hitting its final stretch — and the hunt for the franchise’s first-ever Canadian Elite Basketball League championship is officially on.

With an electrifying 15-5 record (which leads the league), the Bandits storm into August riding high, set to host the Winnipeg Sea Bears in their Fan Appreciation Game on Sunday, August 3 at 5:00pm — the perfect prelude to an intense playoff push.

In addition to the game, four lucky fans will step onto the court for a half-court shootout – taking aim at a $10,000 prize alongside Bandits guard and social media star Tristan Jass.

Vancouver is eyeing one of the Western Conference’s coveted top two seeds, guaranteeing a home playoff game at Langley Events Centre. A second-place finish means the Bandits host the third seed on August 14, but if they can hold on to top spot, the stakes soar even higher: they’ll welcome the winner of the 2/3 matchup on August 16, with a ticket to Championship Weekend in Winnipeg (August 21–24) on the line.

The Bandits are chasing history. Don’t just watch it happen — be there.

Home Game Lineup:

• August 3 at 5:00pm: vs. Winnipeg Sea Bears (Fan Appreciation Night)

• August 14 or 16 (TBA): Western Conference Playoffs

Tickets start at just $15 – affordable fun for the whole family!
