Langley Events Centre Ticket Terms

THIS TICKET (the “Ticket”) IS A LICENSE FROM TEN FEET SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT LTD. (“TFSE”).READ CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTRY AS YOU ARE WAIVING LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE OR CLAIM COMPENSATION. Langley Events Centre includes the primary facility, Building B, and Willoughby Stadium (the “Facility”). The Ticket grants the holder (“Holder”) admission to the applicable Facility event, subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Facility, as well as the terms set out herein.  This license may be revoked and admission refused at any time, in the sole discretion of TFSE, upon refunding the Holder the price set by TFSE for the Ticket (except where a refund is forfeited by the failure of the Holder to adhere to the Terms and Conditions of the Facility, as determined by TFSE in its sole discretion). 

THE HOLDER VOLUNTARILY ASSUMES ALL RISK AND DANGER of physical or emotional injury, illness, permanent or partial disability, paralysis, death, or damage to themselves or their personal property and all other hazards arising from or related in any way to attendance at the Facility, whether occurring prior to, during or after the subject event, including specifically (but not limited to) the danger of being injured by hockey pucks/sticks, lacrosse balls/sticks, other sport balls or equipment, by other spectators or players, or by thrown objects or breaking glass, as well as the danger of being exposed to an infectious disease or virus. The Holder understands, agrees, and accepts that such risks simply cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity or activities at the Facility. 

In consideration of being permitted entry to the Facility, the Holder HEREBY VOLUNTARILY RELEASES, INDEMNIFIES, HOLDS HARMLESS and FOREVER DISCHARGES TFSE, WHL, CEBL, CPL, WLA, BCJALL, BCJT1LL, TWU, ALL (and their respective member teams and their players), any event producers, and each of their respective agents, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and volunteers from any and all claims, losses, demands, or causes of action, which are in any way connected with, arise from or are related to the Holder’s attendance at the Facility and/or participation in the applicable event .  WARNING: WHEN IN SPECTATOR AREAS, BE AWARE OF PUCKS, BALLS, EQUIPMENT OR OTHER ITEMS COMING INTO SPECTATOR AREAS DURING GAMES AND SPORTING EVENTS AS THEY CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY. 

The Holder specifically agrees to inform any guests, companions, children or other persons, who will be using Tickets purchased by or received from a Holder, of the terms of the Ticket and the Terms and Conditions of the Facility, and that their own use of such a Ticket and admission to the Facility are also conditional upon their agreement to the terms of the Ticket, and the Terms and Conditions of the Facility.

Terms and Conditions of the Facility
 

Admission to the applicable Langley Events Centre event is subject to acceptance by the Ticket Holder of the Langley Events Centre Ticket Terms, and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of the Facility. 

Admission to the Facility is subject to compliance with the provisions of all applicable laws, regulations and municipal bylaws, in addition to the Facility rules and policies established by TFSE from time to time, including but not limited to these Terms and Conditions for the Facility, the terms of the Ticket, and any and all conditions of admittance and codes of conduct established for a specific event at the Facility. Breach of any of the above may result in termination of a Holder’s license and result in the Holder being denied entry or being removed from the Facility without refund or other compensation, as well as being banned from the Facility for a fixed period of time or permanently, in the sole discretion of TFSE.

The ticket price shown on the Ticket is inclusive of all taxes and Facility charges where applicable.  Except as explicitly stated in writing otherwise, all Ticket sales are final, and there are no refunds or exchanges.  Tickets deemed by TFSE, in its sole discretion, to be lost or stolen will not be honoured.

Any child two years of age and older requires a separate Ticket.  A child under the age of two may sit on the Holder’s lap during the event without a separate Ticket.  

A Ticket must always be retained by the Holder during the event, and must be produced for inspection upon the request of any Facility staff member.  Failure to do so may result in the Holder’s removal from the Facility, without any refund or compensation provided, in TFSE’s sole discretion.

Unless authorized by TFSE in writing, resale or attempted resale of a Ticket at a price higher than the price paid for the Ticket for that event is grounds for seizure and/or cancellation of the Ticket without refund or other compensation to the Holder. 

A Ticket may not be offered, sold, or otherwise used in connection with any advertising or public promotion of any business (including by way of contests, sweepstakes, giveaways or otherwise) unless specifically authorized by TFSE in writing. 

The published start time and date of an event at the Facility may be changed upon public notice (but not specific notice to the Holder) and such changes do not entitle the Holder to any refund or exchange. TFSE reserves the right to, without any prior notice or compensation to the Holder, postpone, cancel, interrupt or stop any event at the Facility, temporarily keep Holders in the Facility, require the Facility to be completely or partially vacated, or deny any person entry or re-entry to the Facility regardless of their possession of a valid Ticket, at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to reasons of public or individual safety.

The Holder consents to an examination of their person and to any personal belongings by Facility staff, including through the use of physical examination or the use of electronic equipment, before entering the Facility to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Terms and Conditions of the Facility. A Holder’s refusal to submit to a reasonable search or examination may result in denied entry without a refund or any compensation. 

TFSE reserves the right to relocate a Holder's seat location at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to, because of operational requirements at the Facility, in TFSE's sole discretion.

In consideration of the Holder’s attendance at the Facility, the Holder grants permission to TFSE, WHL, CEBL, CPL, WLA, BCJALL, BCJT1LL, TWU, ALL (and their respective member teams) and any event producers, as applicable, and their respective agents, affiliates and licensees to utilize in perpetuity, without compensation of any kind, the Holder's image or likeness (and the image or likeness of any person accompanying the Holder and for whom the Holder is responsible at law) as depicted in any photograph or recording taken during or in connection with any event at the Facility, for their respective marketing, advertising and/or promotional activities and/or for exhibition incidental to any live or recorded video display, broadcast or other transmission or reproduction of the event, in whole or in part.

No professional quality cameras or similar recording devices are permitted in the Facility without express written permission from TFSE, and any individuals representing or affiliated with any media outlet, including for exclusively online or social media platforms, are required to obtain media accreditation from TFSE for all events at the Facility.

The Holder acknowledges and agrees that any commercial or other unauthorized recording, transmission, broadcast, reproduction or other use of any picture, video, audio, account, or logo/mark depiction relating to a Facility event or its participants is prohibited without prior written consent from TFSE, WHL, CEBL, CPL, teams or the event producer, as applicable. 

No smoking of any substance (including by e-cigarettes, vapourizers and other similar devices) is permitted in the Facility, or within 6 metres of any entry way or air intake to the Facility.  Without limitation, TFSE reserves the right to refuse entry to the Facility or to remove persons who are caught smoking within the Facility, or within 6 metres of any entry way or air intake to the Facility (including e-cigarettes, vapourizers and other similar devices).

No outside food and beverage of any kind is permitted in the Facility, unless expressly permitted for a certain event.  Without limitation, TFSE reserves the right to refuse entry to the Facility or to remove persons who are caught with outside food and beverage within the Facility (including alcohol not purchased in the Facility).

No signs, banners, flags, or other articles which contain commercial, political, or religious advertisement or propaganda or which contain content that TFSE (in its sole discretion) considers offensive are permitted inside or on the grounds of the Facility. TFSE reserves the right to confiscate and dispose of any such material, as well as remove persons caught with such material.

There are no in and out privileges from the Facility during an event, unless a specific event requires or permits such activity. If a Holder leaves the Facility during an event for any reason they will not be readmitted, and no refund or compensation will be provided. 

Holders are to enter the Facility only from designated and authorized entry points for the event.  General entry points to the Facility will be identified prior to or during an event.  In addition to the general entry points, accessible entries to the Facility are Gate 3 for the arena bowl (as well as Gate 6 during certain events), Gate 1 for W/C/E Gymnasium, Gate 8 for Fieldhouse or N/S Gymnasium, and NW Gate at Willoughby Stadium.

Harassing, abusive, violent, or other similar conduct towards Facility staff or other patrons using the Facility will not be tolerated. Any Holder engaging in such conduct may be removed from the Facility, in the sole discretion of TFSE, without any refund or compensation provided.

If the Holder breaches any of the Facility rules and policies established by TFSE from time to time, including but not limited to these Terms and Conditions for the Facility, the terms of the Ticket, and any and all conditions of admittance and codes of conduct established for a specific event at the Facility, TFSE may, in its sole discretion, refuse to allow the Holder entry to the Facility for any future events.

To report inappropriate fan behaviour, receive medical assistance, ask a question, or request assistance please approach a uniformed Facility staff member, visit the customer service counter, or call 604-882-8800 during the event.

TFSE reserves the right to modify any Facility policies, including these Terms and Conditions of the Facility, and the terms of the Ticket, at any time and without notice to Holders or any other persons.
