The Langley Rivermen are Langley’s BCHL hockey team. The Rivermen have begun their third year strong with high hopes for a good regular season and even better playoffs. The team made great strides last season with the league’s leading scorer, Mario Puskarich, earning Langley’s first Brett Hull trophy with 89 points. The Rivermen graduated four players to Division 1 schools with more scholarships coming in already this season with seven players on the roster securing their future in the NCAA. With a good balance of veteran and young talent, the Rivermen expect to make a deep run in the post-season this year.
Derived from the history of Langley, the Rivermen reflect our community’s honour and heritage. The early explorers and traders of the Hudson’s Bay Company and the Northwest Company, the Rivermen, came to British Columbia’s West Coast to trade fur, carry goods, and create partnerships. These strong and tenacious explorers laid the ground work for today’s Langley, a tradition the Rivermen carry on. For more information on the team visit www.LangleyRivermen.com
