Township of Langley, BC, Monday, December 19, 2011: The Langley Events Centre has added another feature to the facility, officially opening the LEC Team Store today at 10:00AM. The store, which has been in the works for a few months, will feature merchandise from the sports teams who call the LEC home.
It is currently stocked with game worn jerseys, Langley Rivermen merchandise, and Langley Thunder, of the Western Lacrosse Association, gear. The store is expecting shipments from the Langley Junior Thunder and the Trinity Western University Spartans in the coming weeks as well. In addition to the local gear that will be available, the store also includes official team merchandise from the Vancouver Canucks, the Vancouver Whitecaps, and Hockey Canada.
“The store gives our fans the chance to pick up some great gear to support our teams during the week so they are not just limited to game night purchases,” explained Jared Harman, Director of Business Development.
Harman also touched on the fact that the store will serve as an Official Ticketmaster Outlet,
“having the Ticketmaster location inside the store also creates more opportunity for people to buy tickets to our teams and events in advance while also providing a central location for Ticketmaster ticket pickups.”
The LEC Team Store will be open Monday to Friday from 10:00AM through 6:00PM, Saturdays from 11:00AM to 7:00PM and will be closed on Sundays. On event and game nights, the store will stay open until 9:00PM to allow for fans that are in the building to venture down and check out the selection; the concourse merchandise location will remain open on those nights as well.
Store hours will remain constant over the holiday season with the only exceptions being December 24 and 31 when the store will be closed. There will also be the first ever Boxing Day Sale happening on December 26 which will feature great deals on all Langley Rivermen, Langley Thunder and Game Worn merchandise.
